This lady bug cake is a cake I made for my daughter Reilly’s first birthday. I baked the main cake in a daisy cake pan using chocolate cake mix and butter cream frosting and the smash cake in a small round cake pan.
For the main cake I made a cupcake for the center and chocolate truffles for the lady bug heads. I also used gel frosting for the lady bug dots. For the smash cake I used chocolate chips.
I saw this cake in person. The picture doesn’t do it justice. The colors were vivid and it was absolutely beautiful!!!
